1. Describe the idea and what it actually does:
The role of the shaft accounts for about 70% of the performance of a golf club, and the weight,
strength, torque and kick point of the shaft vary according to the type and intended use of the
golf club. To solve problems afflicting a general cylindrical shaft and improve the performance
thereof, the present shaft has been developed to have a composite design system.
That is, to improve the distance and direction by evaluating the roles of various parts of the
shaft, fabric having strength and weight appropriate to the functions of respective parts of the
shaft is selected and molded with connecting parts thereof overlapping each according
to the process. At this time, joint are formed on the outer circumference according to the
number of parts connecting the fabric. The joint of the present shaft is formed to have a
structure similar to that of bamboo. Further, the shaft specifications, according to which the
number of joints and spaces there between differ, is decided according to a golfer’s ability
and tendencies. Thus, when the golfer swings the golf club, each joint performs a function
similar to that of an artificial joint.
As a result, the head speed achieved by the golfer is increased; the distance is increased by
about 20-30 yard by the stabilization of impact (head spot); and the direction is improved by
controlling the torsion of the joint located in the middle of the shaft in the case of an impact.
